GALLERY BOOKS TO PUBLISH “MAKE IT NICE” BY DORINDA MEDLEY

Memoir from TV personality and “The Real Housewives of New York City” star about life journey, being a New York socialite, raising a daughter, lessons learned along the way plus entertaining and lifestyle tips

NEW YORK, March 31, 2021 – Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, will publish “Make it Nice” by Dorinda Medley, TV personality, entrepreneur, hostess, philanthropist and fan-favorite of the hit Bravo reality series, “The Real Housewives of New York City.”

Throughout her life, Medley has always strived to “make it nice”regardless of the circumstances. In her incredibly candid memoir, Medley opens the doors of Blue Stone Manor, her legendary Berkshires sanctuary, welcoming readers into her beloved home and life. In her first-ever book, Medley removes all pretense and noise to reveal the great moments as well as the not-so-glamorous bumps in the road that have marked her colorful journey toward becoming the person she is today.

Her journey is a vulnerable and emotional account of love, motherhood, loss and the not-entirely-planned adventure from her modest beginnings in the Berkshires to her personal, social and professional ascent—all in her trademark manner and style.

Chronicling Dorinda’s ups-and-downs, “Make it Nice” also features life lessons and advice for readers on living life and dealing with challenges. The book also includes entertaining and style tips from the celebrated hostess; all presented with the humor and wit that has made Medley popular on TV and off.

“Television only showed a small slice of my life and I hope the book will let people see the whole cake,” said Medley. “My mother once told me life was like a colorful quilt with many different and interesting pieces and I have always tried to embrace the good times, learn from the challenges and keep moving forward. I love to share and give advice, so hopefully the book will not only be an enjoyable journey for readers but enlighten and inspire them as well.”

Natasha Simons, Executive Editor at Gallery Books, acquired World rights from Connor Goldsmith at Fuse Literary.

“Make it Nice” will be published August 17, 2021. It will also be published simultaneously as an audiobook from Simon & Schuster Audio, read by the author.
